Contribute to the strengthening of the rule of law in Tunisia by increasing citizens’ confidence in the judicial system

  • Objective: Improve access to justice for people in vulnerable situations and contribute to the reform of legal aid through promoting dialogue between civil society and the political decision-makers in the regions of Médenine, Sidi Bouzid, Gafsa and Kasserine.
  • There are three dimentions to the project’s activities:
    • Organisation by lawyers of orientation sessions, judicial consultations and mediation within CDIS, DPS and CSOs
      • Free handling of legal aid cases of people in vulnerable situations and accompaniment to the BAJ
      • Development and distribution of awareness raising tools
    • Organisation of on-site training sessions
      • Peer capitalisation/RC workshops (CDIS/DPS/Lawyers in Adela and Médenine regions)
    • Carrying out of an inventory of the functioning of BAJs
