About the Project
This project aims to improve living conditions and rights protection for migrant people in Melilla, Spain’s southern border. Over 17 months, it will combine socio-legal assistance,
awareness campaigns, and advocacy to combat racism and promote equality.
Beneficiaries include migrants, asylum seekers, women, minors, and local civil society. Activities include legal accompaniment, rights training, publications on social media and
collaborative advocacy with institutions and NGOs. The project strengthens legal
empowerment, institutional accountability, and civil society engagement toward a rightsbased migration governance framework.
Activities
- Socio-legal support for people on the move and local families in the city of Melilla.
- Documentation of human rights violations, including administrative ones
- Advocacy for social and political change.
- Facilitating direct intervention by creating active listening and safe meeting spaces.
