Strengthening Civil Society Organisations in Tunisia (ROSE)

  • Objective: To strengthen the emerging civil society working on human rights and development in Tunisia.
  • Activities
    • Establishment and facilitation of a framework for capitalisation and exchange between relevant stakeholders with a view to developing a referral mechanism
    • Design and establishment of the Civil Society Actors Accelerator
    • Development and implementation of a training curriculum, working tools and coaching plans for associations based on collective and individual needs
    • Development of awareness raising and networking activities for young people in universities and youth centres
    • Consultation of relevant actors for the design of differentiated and innovative funding mechanisms for civil society
    • Design, operationalisation of funding mechanisms and award of grants
    • Monitoring and accompanying the implementation of funded actions
    • Capitalisation and modelling of funded projects
    • Production and publication of updated maps on the dynamics of associative influence
    • Supporting and strengthening existing and emerging influence dynamics at national and local level
    • Constitution and animation of multi-actor task forces for CSO advocacy follow-ups at European and international level
    • Development of an online resource platform bringing together legal requirements according to the life cycle of the association
    • Training of lawyers, notaries, tax experts and accountants specialised in the work of associations in Tunisia
    • Development of a transparency and good governance label for associations
    • Setting up mechanisms to monitor the freedom of associations in Tunisia
    • Advocacy on the issues of civic space including the effectiveness of aid and the sustainability of associative action
