About the Project
The project aims at establishing a Euro-Mediterranean artistic collective through a program of artistic residencies and community music practices in borderland territories (Lampedusa) with the aim of transforming borders from spaces of marginalization into places of dialogue, expression, and artistic production. Through the language of music, the
project will put the focus on topics such as identity, antiracism, human rights, migration, intercultural dialogue, cross-cultural contamination, etc., involving an international artistic collective and the whole community of Lampedusa (including students, educators, reception staff, activists and people on the move).
Activities
- Musical residencies in Lampedusa, including public performances and an anti-racist manifesto
- Development of a digital sound archive
